An American term formerly used for cotton fabrics in blue colours and included dungarees, denims, nurse cloths, gingham stripes and checks. -
2 Madras Goods
A term applied to Indian-made cotton fabrics plain weave, of 10's to 12's warp and weft and low reed and pick. The warp is white or black and the weft either brown or blue. They are made for export to East Africa and other markets requiring cheap serviceable cotton fabrics. -
